Hollowmist Journey
★★★★★ 4.6
Hollowmist Journey is slow in the best way. You wander a misty valley, uncover paths, and slowly piece together what happened to the people who lived there. There's no combat to speak of; the tension comes from not quite knowing where you are.
The controls are a simple virtual stick plus a context button, and it works because the game never demands precision. It wants you to look around. The soundtrack is sparse and does a lot of heavy lifting for the mood.
It's a short experience, maybe four hours, and some will find the pacing too gentle. I loved it as a wind-down game before bed. Battery use is light thanks to the muted visuals.
