Ironline Command
Ironline Command does the hard thing well: it makes real-time strategy playable with your thumbs. Unit selection snaps to clusters, and a radial menu handles orders without burying you in tiny buttons. It's clearly been designed for phones first, not ported and forgotten.
Matches run short, around eight to twelve minutes, which suits the format. You build a small base, push for resource points, and the map rewards flanking over brute force. The AI opponents escalate nicely across the campaign, and there's a skirmish mode when you just want a quick scrap.
It does get warm during longer sessions and the battery takes a visible hit, so this isn't one for a dying phone. But if you miss RTS on the go, it's the best touch implementation I've tried in a while.
What we liked
- Touch controls that actually work for RTS
- Short, punchy match length
- Solid campaign AI
