Casinacho Games: a week with the little mini-game map

I didn't expect to spend as much time with Casinacho Games as I did. It's a casual app built around a map of mini-games, and the pitch is simple: tap a node, play a short round, move on. That kind of thing usually burns off after a day for me, but the tight controls kept pulling me back.

The best rounds are the reaction ones, where you tap in rhythm with a moving marker. They're the sort of thing that feels unfair for exactly one second before you realize you just mistimed it. The pattern-matching games are gentler and make good filler between the harder stuff.

A tip: play these in short bursts rather than marathoning them. The appeal is in the quick in-and-out rhythm, and the games lose a little shine if you force thirty rounds in a row. Treat it like a snack and it holds up.

On battery, it's one of the easiest games I've reviewed lately. The visuals are simple and the rounds are short, so even on my old phone I barely saw the percentage move. If you want something light to fill gaps in the day, it earns a spot on the home screen.
